Santa came!! Santa came!!
Mummy thought it was highly unlikely that he would turn up, as she thinks we were being naughty *lol* What a laugh that is! We are never naughty - a tad 'high spirited' at times. Makes life so much more fun and interesting - I am sure mummy would be very bored if we behaved ALL the time!
On christmas eve we did help tidy up the house, so perhaps we got brownie points for that? I (Meg) wrote a letter to the big man thanking him (in advance) for anything he left for us, and asking him about his trip etc. We left him out a beer, some cookies and a carrot for the reindeer (or Boomers). In the morning there were crumbs everywhere!! The beer was well and truly gone and the carrot seemed to have been a big hit as well!
Mind you, these things we didn't notice until well into the morning, once we had opened all our loot!!
Zach and I were up at 5am. For some reason mummy and daddy were not impressed...I couldn't understand it at all. Xmas is exciting - we wanted to get into it ASAP! Mummy did get up and feed us at 6am, but we had to be quiet and wait for another hr before we were allowed to wake up Ethan. Mean mummy!
We went in to wake Eth (finally!) and he looked quite shocked. He looked at us with big eyes, as if we were all mad, and then dived back down into his blankets. It took a little while to convince him that there were pressies to be seen to.
Eventually we were all tearing into our santa sacks and exploring all our pressies. We did pretty well for ourselves.
At 10am we piled in the car and drove our to Grandmas and Poppys. There ws so much food there and we got to play with our cousins...and of course we got more pressies!!! :D
Grandma had a pinata for us to bash up - made a change from bashing our siblings/cousins! It took ages to break into it (daddy said it must come with a 2 yr warranty!) Eventually my big cousin Eden smashed the top of it and we all got lollies and poppers out of it.
We stayed at grandmas and poppys for the night and came home on boxing day. It was raining and pretty cool on that day - turns out it was the coldest December day in QLD ever.
So that was our christmas...now we just have to survive the rest of the school holidays without mummy heading back to her corner ;) or locking us in the cupboard ;)
Luv the Kidlets xoxoxo
