Grandma and Poppy!

by the kidlets
On Sunday we went out to visit Grandma and Poppy. They picked us up and drove us out there, so we could have some extra time with them - and without mummy and daddy (Mummy and Daddy didn't seem at all sad that we would be away from them for a few hrs!).

Megan was a huge help for Grandma and cut up all the salad vegies and the cheese and bits for the nibbly tray. Zach and Ethan were a great help watching.

We drew pictures to add to Grandmas collection on her fridge - Grandma seems to think she needs a bigger fridge for some reason...maybe so she can store more ice cream for us!!

Poppy has a brand new truck. It is really big and blue and all nice and shiny (Poppy was muttering something about damn chrome and rain and keeping it clean...) We were allowed to climb up in the truck and check out the horn, the bed and all the buttons and knobs and the bouncy seat. Ethan wouldn't go anywhere near the truck though - he is a scaredy cat when it comes to things like that...he watched the goings on from the safety of the verandah.

Once mummy and daddy arrived with Sam we all went outside and ran around like mad things - well us kids did - The growed ups were ever so boring and semed to think relaxing with a drink was more fun - ahh well - their loss.

Sam got lot's of cuddles from Grandma and then she let Poppy have him for a minute...but soon snaffled him back again - I don't think Sam minded being snuggled *too* much ;-)

Then aunty Kelly arrived with Eden and Beth, so we got to run around like even madder things....although mummy spoiled our fun and said we had to go home, as she had a roast in the slow cooker. We tried hiding in the garden and refusing to get in the car, but mummy threatened us with all sorts of mean things - she sure can be scary at times (well she thinks she is, but we know better!)

So we had a good day....and there are school holiays coming up, so hopefully we can go out and stay there for a few days - well mum says she is going to book us in there...but then she muttered something about needing to send Grandma a few bribes first....NI why Grandma wouldn't jump at the chance to have us little darlings there like...forever!!!
